Jeneen Garcia

Deputy Director / Director of Programs

Jeneen Garcia is a proud native New Yorker who has dedicated her career to forging pathways to leadership for young people through capacity building youth development programs throughout the country on a national and local level. Jeneen graduated from Wesleyan University with a BA in African American Studies and Spanish Literature and continued her graduate studies at Columbia University at the School of International and Public Affairs with a Concentration in Education Policy and Non-profit Management. 

As a child Jeneen grew up across the street from Van Cortlandt park. She remembers looking up at the trees and thinking, “The whole world is like the Bronx”. Since then she has seen the world, lived in different parts of the country and feels she has been called back home to the Bronx.
