NYC Service Civic Corps: Community Outreach Member
The Community Outreach & Engagement Civic Corps Member will develop an outreach plan to recruit more schools to sign up for our programs and will assist with the implementation of our newest programming: environmental education workshops and events at Bronx schools. This will involve reaching out to schools to do in-classroom programming, planning/strengthening park days with educational stations across the borough and assisting with planning our community engagement festival in July.
The ideal candidate has a genuine interest in environmental stewardship, youth development, and community education, strong written and verbal communication skills and a comfort with public speaking and verbal facilitation with groups

NYC Service Civic Corps: Volunteer Management Member
The Volunteer Management and Recruitment Civic Corps Member will serve under the direction of the Environmental Program Manager and will play a key role supporting our Grow, Revitalize, Engage, Educate, and Nurture (GREEN) program. The GREEN program provides civic groups, schools, and volunteer groups with hands-on environmental education and stewardship workshops that revitalize neighborhood parks. The member will focus on managing, training, and engaging existing volunteers to optimize the quality of our volunteer program. The position will include reaching out to new sources and developing recruitment campaigns to strengthen programming and the volunteer experience.
The ideal candidate will display a strong enthusiasm for environmental stewardship, partnership building and public engagement with people of all ages and backgrounds. In addition, this candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills and a willingness to work in an office/home setting as well as with staff and volunteers in the field.
